John Green is an American writer living in Indianapolis, Indiana. Green's first novel, Looking for Alaska, was published in 2005. It won the Michael L. Printz Award for excellence in Young Adult literature, was a finalist for the L.A. Times Booker Prize. The movie rights to Looking for Alaska were acquired by Paramount, and Josh Schwartz (creator of The O. C.) is currently working on the screenplay. It has also been translated into 13 languages. His second novel, An Abundance of Katherines (2006), was a 2007 Michael L. Printz Award Honor Book, a finalist for the Los Angeles Times Book Prize, and may also be made into a movie in the future. Green graduated from Kenyon College in 2000 with a double major in English and Religious Studies. He lives in Indianapolis with his wife, Sarah, and their son, Henry Atticus Green, who was named after the author's grandfather.
