I will triumph in the works of thy hands,

How great are thy works, O LORD!
Thy thoughts are very deep.

6 A brutish man knoweth not;

Neither doth a fool understand this:

7 When the wicked spring as the grass,

And when all the workers of iniquity do flourish;
It is that they shall be destroyed for ever:
8 But thou, O LORD, art on high for evermore.
9 For, lo, thine enemies, O Lord,

For, lo, thine enemies shall perish;

All the workers of iniquity shall be scattered.

10 But my horn hast thou exalted like the horn of

I am anointed with fresh oil.

Mine ears have heard my desire of the evil-doers
that rise up against me.

12 The righteous shall flourish like the palm tree :
He shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon.

13 They that are planted in the house of the LORD

Shall flourish in the courts of our God.

14 They shall still bring forth fruit in old age; They shall be full of sap and green:

15 To shew that the LORD is upright;

He is my rock, and there is no unrighteousness
in him.

93 The LORD reigneth; he is apparelled with
majesty ;

The LORD is apparelled, he hath girded himself
with strength:

The world also is stablished, that it cannot be
moved.

2 Thy throne is established of old :

Thou art from everlasting.

The floods have lifted up, O LORD,
The floods have lifted up their voice;

Above the voices of many waters,
The mighty breakers of the sea,
The LORD on high is mighty.
Thy testimonies are very sure :
Holiness becometh thine house,
O LORD, for evermore.

O LORD, thou God to whom vengeance be- 1 94 longeth,

Thou God to whom vengeance belongeth, shine

forth.

Lift up thyself, thou judge of the earth:

Render to the proud their desert.

LORD, how long shall the wicked,

How long shall the wicked triumph?
They prate, they speak arrogantly:

4

All the workers of iniquity boast themselves.
They break in pieces thy people, O LORD,
And afflict thine heritage.

They slay the widow and the stranger,
And murder the fatherless.

2 Heb. Jah. And they say, "The LORD shall not see,
Neither shall the God of Jacob consider.
Consider, ye brutish among the people:
And ye fools, when will ye be wise?

Blessed is the man whom thou chastenest, 12

20 LORD,

And teachest out of thy law;

13 That thou mayest give him rest from the days

of adversity,

Until the pit be digged for the wicked.

14 For the LORD will not cast off his people,
Neither will he forsake his inheritance.

15 For judgement shall return unto righteousness:
And all the upright in heart shall follow it.
16 Who will rise up for me against the evil-doers?
Who will stand up for me against the workers of
iniquity?

17 Unless the LORD had been my help,

My soul had soon dwelt in silence.

18 When I said, My foot slippeth; Thy mercy, O LORD, held me up.

19 In the multitude of my 'thoughts within me Thy comforts delight my soul.

Which frameth mischief by statute?

And condemn the innocent blood.

22 But the LORD hath been my high tower;

And my God the rock of my refuge.

23 And he hath brought upon them their own iniquity,

And shall cut them off in their own evil;

The LORD our God shall cut them off.

95 O come, let us sing unto the LORD:

Let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our
salvation.

2 Let us come before his presence with thanks-
giving,

3

Let us make a joyful noise unto him with psalms.
For the LORD is a great God,

And a great King above all gods.

4 In his hand are the deep places of the earth;

[blocks in formation]

1 Or, strength The 'heights of the mountains are his also. The sea is his, and he made it ;

[blocks in formation]

And his hands formed the dry land.

O come, let us worship and bow down;
Let us kneel before the LORD our Maker:
For he is our God,

And we are the people of his pasture, and the
sheep of his hand.

To-day, Oh that ye would hear his voice!
Harden not your heart, as at Meribah,

As in the day of 'Massah in the wilderness:
When your fathers tempted me,

Proved me, and saw my work.

Forty years long was I grieved with that 10
generation,

And said, It is a people that do err in their
heart,

And they have not known my ways:

Wherefore I sware in my wrath,

That they should not enter into my rest.

O sing unto the LORD a new song:
Sing unto the LORD, all the earth.
Sing unto the LORD, bless his name ;
Shew forth his salvation from day to day.
Declare his glory among the nations,

His marvellous works among all the peoples.
For great is the LORD, and highly to be praised: 4
He is to be feared above all gods.

For all the gods of the peoples are 'idols :
But the LORD made the heavens.

6

Honour and majesty are before him:
Strength and beauty are in his sanctuary.
Give unto the LORD, ye kindreds of the peoples, 7
Give unto the LORD glory and strength.

Give unto the LORD the glory due unto his 8

name:

Bring an offering, and come into his courts.

9 O worship the LORD 'in the beauty of holiness: 1Or, in holy Tremble before him, all the earth.

10 Say among the nations, The LORD reigneth : The world also is stablished that it cannot be moved:

He shall judge the peoples with equity.

II Let the heavens be glad, and let the earth rejoice;

Let the sea roar, and the fulness thereof;

12 Let the field exult, and all that is therein;
Then shall all the trees of the wood sing for joy;

13 Before the LORD, for he cometh;

For he cometh to judge the earth :

He shall judge the world with righteousness,
And the peoples with his truth.

97 The LORD reigneth; let the earth rejoice;
Let the multitude of isles be glad.

2 Clouds and darkness are round about him :
Righteousness and judgement are the found-
ation of his throne.

3 A fire goeth before him,

And burneth up his adversaries round about. 4 His lightnings lightened the world:

The earth saw, and trembled.

5 The hills melted like wax at the presence of the
LORD,

At the presence of the Lord of the whole earth.

6 The heavens declare his righteousness,

And all the peoples have seen his glory.

7 Ashamed be all they that serve graven images,
That boast themselves of idols:

Worship him, all ye gods.

8 Zion heard and was glad,

And the daughters of Judah rejoiced;
Because of thy judgements, O LORD.
