8 They that make them shall be like unto them;
Yea, every one that trusteth in them.

9

O Israel, trust thou in the LORD:

He is their help and their shield.

10 O house of Aaron, trust ye in the LORD:
He is their help and their shield.

II Ye that fear the LORD, trust in the LORD:
He is their help and their shield.

12 The LORD hath been mindful of us; he will
bless us:

He will bless the house of Israel;

He will bless the house of Aaron.

13 He will bless them that fear the LORD, Both small and great,

14 The LORD increase you more and more, You and your children.

15 Blessed are ye of the LORD,

Which made heaven and earth.

16 The heavens are the heavens of the LORD;

But the earth hath he given to the children

of men.

17 The dead praise not 1the LORD,

Neither any that go down into silence;

1

18 But we will bless the LORD

From this time forth and for evermore.
2 Praise the LORD.

116 I love the LORD, because he hath heard
My voice and my supplications.

2 Because he hath inclined his ear unto me,
Therefore will I call upon him as long as I live.
3 The cords of death compassed me,

And the pains of 'Sheol 'gat hold upon me:
I found trouble and sorrow.

Then called I upon the name of the LORD;
O LORD, I beseech thee, deliver my soul,
5 Gracious is the LORD, and righteous;
Yea, our God is merciful.

The LORD preserveth the simple:

I was brought low, and he saved me.
Return unto thy rest, O my soul;

For the LORD hath dealt bountifully with thee.
For thou hast delivered my soul from death,
Mine eyes from tears,

And my feet from falling.

I will walk before the LORD

5 Heb. Hallelujah.

I am thy servant, the son of thine handmaid ;
Thou hast loosed my bonds.

I will offer to thee the sacrifice of thanks- 17
giving,

And will call upon the name of the LORD.

I will pay my vows unto the LORD,

Yea, in the presence of all his people;

In the courts of the LORD's house,
In the midst of thee, O Jerusalem.
"Praise ye the LORD.

O praise the LORD, all ye nations;
Laud him, all ye peoples.

For his mercy is great

toward us;

And the truth of the LORD endureth for ever.

1 Heb. Jah.

1181 O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is good: For his mercy endureth for ever.

2 Let Israel now say,

[blocks in formation]

5 Out of my distress I called upon 'the LORD:
'The LORD answered me and set me in a large
place.

6 The LORD is on my side; I will not fear :
What can man do unto me?

7 The LORD is on my side among them that
help me :

Therefore shall I see my desire upon them that
hate me.

8 It is better to trust in the LORD

Than to put confidence in man.
9 It is better to trust in the LORD
Than to put confidence in princes.

IO All nations compassed me about:

In the name of the LORD I will cut them off.
II They compassed me about; yea, they compassed
me about:

In the name of the LORD I will cut them off.
12 They compassed me about like bees; they are
quenched as the fire of thorns :

In the name of the LORD I will cut them off.
13 Thou didst thrust sore at me that I might fall:
But the LORD helped me.

14 'The LORD is my strength and song;

And he is become my salvation.

15 The voice of rejoicing and salvation is in the
tents of the righteous:

The right hand of the LORD doeth valiantly.
16 The right hand of the LORD is exalted:

1 Heb. Jah.

2 Heb. This

is from the LORD.

The right hand of the LORD doeth valiantly.
I shall not die, but live,

And declare the works of 'the LORD.
'The LORD hath chastened me sore:

But he hath not given me over unto death.
Open to me the gates of righteousness :

I will enter into them, I will give thanks unto
1the LORD.

This is the gate of the LORD;

The righteous shall enter into it.

19

20

I will give thanks unto thee, for thou hast 21 answered me,

And art become my salvation.

The stone which the builders rejected

Is become the head of the corner.

22

"This is the LORD's doing;

23

It is marvellous in our eyes.

This is the day which the LORD hath made;
We will rejoice and be glad in it.

24

25

Save now, we beseech thee, O LORD:

O LORD, we beseech thee, send now prosperity.

3 Or, entereth Blessed be he that 'cometh in the name of 26

the LORD:

We have blessed you out of the house of

the LORD.

The LORD is God, and he hath given us light: 27
Bind the sacrifice with cords, even unto the

horns of the altar.

Thou art my God, and I will give thanks unto 28 thee:

Thou art my God, I will exalt thee.

O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is good: 29
For his mercy endureth for ever.

They walk in his ways.

Thou hast commanded us thy precepts,
That we should observe them diligently.

To observe thy statutes!

I will give thanks unto thee with uprightness of heart,

When I learn thy righteous judgements.

8 I will observe thy statutes:

O forsake me not utterly.
