Adah and Zillah, hear my voice;

Ye wives of Lamech, hearken unto my
speech:

For I have slain a man 'for wounding me,
And a young man for bruising me:

If Cain shall be avenged sevenfold,
Truly Lamech seventy and sevenfold.
And Adam knew his wife again; and she
bare a son, and called his name 'Seth: For,
said she, God hath appointed me another seed
26 instead of Abel; for Cain slew him. And to
Seth, to him also there was born a son; and
he called his name Enosh: then began men to
call upon the name of the LORD.

And God said unto Noah, The end of all 13 flesh is come before me; for the earth is filled with violence through them; and, behold, I will destroy them with the earth. Make thee an 14 ark of gopher wood; rooms shalt thou make in the ark, and shalt pitch it within and without with pitch. And this is how thou shalt make 15 it: the length of the ark three hundred cubits, the breadth of it fifty cubits, and the height of it thirty cubits. A light shalt thou make to the 16 ark, and to a cubit shalt thou finish it 'upward; and the door of the ark shalt thou set in the side thereof; with lower, second, and third stories shalt thou make it. And I, behold, I 17 do bring the flood of waters upon the earth, to destroy all flesh, wherein is the breath of life, from under heaven; every thing that is in the earth shall die. But I will establish my coven- 18 ant with thee; and thou shalt come into the ark, thou, and thy sons, and thy wife, and thy sons' wives with thee. And of every living 19 thing of all flesh, two of every sort shalt thou bring into the ark, to keep them alive with thee; they shall be male and female. Of the 20 fowl after their kind, and of the cattle after

their kind, of every creeping thing of the ground after its kind, two of every sort shall come unto 21 thee, to keep them alive. And take thou unto thee of all food that is eaten, and gather it to thee; and it shall be for food for thee, and for 22 them. Thus did Noah; according to all that God commanded him, so did he.

For yet seven days, and I will cause it to rain upon the earth forty days and forty nights; and every living thing that I have made will I 5 'destroy from off the face of the ground. 6 And Noah was six hundred years old when 7 the flood of waters was upon the earth. And

Noah went in, and his sons, and his wife, and his sons' wives with him, into the ark, 8 because of the waters of the flood. Of clean beasts, and of beasts that are not clean, and of fowls, and of every thing that creepeth 9 upon the ground, there went in two and two unto Noah into the ark, male and female, as 10 God commanded Noah. And it came to pass
