Martin Scorsese was born in New York City and graduated from New York University with a degree in film. Widely considered one the best filmmakers in American history, his movies include "Mean Streets," "Taxi Driver," "Raging Bull," "After Hours," "Cape Fear," and "Gangs of New York,"
Nicholas Pileggi has written three screenplays that have been produced for film, two of which were directed by Martin Scorsese.

Scorsese received a B.S. and M.S. from New York University. At NYU he made several award winning student films and wrote the script for his first feature film. He has directed over 20 feature and documentary films.
