Der Kreationismus (wörtlich verstandener, auf biologische Phänomene übertragener biblischer Schöpfungsglaube) blühte mit dem Erscheinen von Charles Darwins Artenbuch (1859) im christlichen Abendland auf und ist bis heute ein nicht nur in den USA weit verbreitetes Phänomen geblieben. Dieser Sammelband enthält Beiträge von A. Beyer, U. Hoßfeld, H.-J. Jacobsen, T. Junker, U. Kutschera, R. Leinfelder, M. Mahner, A. Meyer und M. Neukamm. Die Autoren sind Mitglied der Arbeitsgemeinschaft (AG) Evolutionsbiologie im Verband deutscher Biologen (Vdbiol).
