˹ 67 - There is the throne of David ; And there, from care released, The shout of them that triumph, The song of them that feast. And they, who, with their Leader, Have conquered in the fight, For ever and for ever Are clad in robes of white.
˹ 49 - Hold thou thy cross before my closing eyes; Shine through the gloom, and point me to the skies: Heaven's morning breaks, and earth's vain shadows flee; In life, in death, O Lord, abide with me!
˹ 19 - Still through the cloven skies they come, With peaceful wings unfurled ; And still their heavenly music floats O'er all the weary world ; Above its sad and lowly plains They bend on hovering wing ; And ever o'er its Babel sounds The blessed Angels sing.
˹ 35 - So Moses the servant of the LORD died there in the land of Moab, according to the word of the LORD. And he buried him in a valley in the land of Moab, over against Beth-peor: but no man knoweth of his sepulchre unto this day.
˹ 22 - ABIDE with me ; fast falls the eventide ; The darkness deepens; Lord, with me abide ; When other helpers fail, and comforts flee, Help of the helpless, O abide with me.
˹ 52 - The days of our years are threescore years and ten; And if by reason of strength they be fourscore years, Yet is their strength labour and sorrow; For it is soon cut off, and we fly away.
˹ 59 - I say unto you that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons which need no repentance.
˹ 62 - FATHER, I know that all my life Is portioned out for me, And the changes that are sure to come, I do not fear to see ; But I ask Thee for a present mind Intent on pleasing Thee.
˹ 38 - Thus saith the Lord, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls.
˹ 40 - O'erflow thy courts: the Light himself shall shine Revealed, and God's eternal day be thine ! The seas shall waste, the skies in smoke decay, Rocks fall to dust, and mountains melt away ! But fixed his word, his saving power remains; Thy realm for ever lasts, thy own Messiah reigns ! ALEXANDER POPE.
