the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with. other tongues as the Spirit gave them utterance. And there were dwelling at Jerusalem Jews, devout men, out of every nation under heaven. Now when this was noised abroad, the multitude came together, and were confounded, because that every man heard them speak in his own language. And they were all amazed and marvelled, saying one to another, Behold, are not all these which speak Galileans? And how hear we every man in our own tongue, wherein we were born? Parthians and Medes, and Elamites, and the dwellers in Mesopotamia, and in Judea, and Cappadocia, in Pontus, and Asia, Phrygia and Pamphylia, in Egypt, and in the parts of Libya about Cyrene, and strangers of Rome, Jews and proselytes, Cretes and Arabians, we do hear them speak in our tongues the wonderful works of God.

VI. There was a man sent from God, whose name was John. The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe. He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light. The true Light, which lighteth every man, was coming on into the world.

He was in the world, and the world was made through him, and the world knew him. not. He came into his own possessions, and his own people received him not. But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

VII. And Paul stood in the midst of the Areopagus, and said :

Ye men of Athens, in all things I perceive that ye are very religious. For as I passed along, and observed the objects of your worship, I found also an altar with this inscription, TO AN UNKNOWN GOD. What therefore ye worship in ignorance, this set I forth unto you.

God that made the world and all things therein, seeing that He is Lord of heaven and earth, dwelleth not in temples made with hands: neither is He served by men's hands, as though He needed any thing, seeing He Himself giveth to all life, and breath, and all things; and He hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth, having determined their appointed seasons, and the bounds of their habitation;

that they should seek God, if haply they might feel after Him, and find Him, though He be not far from each one of us: for in Him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain even of your own poets have said, For we are also His offspring.

VIII. Who will render to every man according to his deeds: To them who by patient continuance in well doing seek for glory and honor and immortality, eternal life: But unto them that are contentious, and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, indignation, and wrath, tribulation and anguish, upon every soul of man that doeth evil, of the Jew first, and also of the Gentile; but glory, honor, and peace to every man that worketh good, to the Jew first, and also to the Gentile: For there is no respect of persons with God.

Is He the God of the Jews only? Is He not also of the Gentiles? Yes, of the Gentiles also.

For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.

For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek: for the same Lord is Lord of all,

and is rich unto all that call upon Him: for, Whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation. wherewith ye are called, with all lowliness and meekness, with long suffering, forbearing one another in love; endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.
